Mink Bürsten has started construction on a new production building. Plant 4, which is due to be completed by October, will be 14 meters high, making it the tallest building in the business park. A total area of 5500 m 2 will be available on two production levels. The company is investing 4.3 million euros in the new building, which is to create 25 new jobs. A total of 65 employees are said to work there.
Expansion as a commitment to the Göppingen location
According to the company, the decision for the new building is related to the development of the brush manufacturer. Three years ago, the company built a new administration campus and expanded Plant 3, now a new building is needed.
Peter Zimmermann, managing partner of Mink Bürsten, calls the expansion of the production capacities a clear commitment to the Göppingen location. When planning, the use of renewable energies and a complete green roof should have been important.
August Mink KG manufactures brushes for surface processing, for sealing, transporting and spreading and as a design element. One of the largest technical brush factories in the world is located at the company headquarters and production site in Göppingen-Jebenhausen: More than six million pieces and nine million meters of strip brushes are manufactured annually from a range of over 220,000 fiber solutions and delivered to more than 15,000 customers. To drive further solutions, the company invests 8.5% of its sales in research and development. (kj)
