Manufacture prototypes and serial parts
"We want to bring production and logistics up to date and improve existing processes," explains CFO Uwe Bögershausen. The new company headquarters are located in Lübeck-Genin on a factory site of 70,000 m² with motorway access. The new building creates a tailor-made manufacturing environment for the machines for additive manufacturing of series parts and prototypes.
The buildings, built in an energy-optimized design, are to house production, development and logistics on 13,000 m 2 of hall space. The company headquarters is supplemented by a 5000 m 2 transparent office building. With the spatial expansion, an expansion of the team currently comprising 310 employees is also planned. According to the company, commercial jobs are expected to double.
A first customer delivery from the new production facility is expected to start in March 2018. Around 400 employees are said to be employed at the new location. According to the company, the cost of the 18,000 m² construction project is 25 million euros. (kj)
