Video: Industry 4.0 Area Shows Pioneering Technologies

Industry 4.0 is intended to change the world of industrial manufacturing. The Industry 4.0 area at the SPS IPC Drives 2016 in Nuremberg from November 22nd to 24th, 2016 shows exactly what that could look like. Interested parties can discover many solutions, concepts and trends here that should support companies on their way to digitization and intelligent networking of production.
Networking with the Internet of Things and Services
For example, Gefasoft AG will be presenting its app for the new product generation of its flexible and scalable MES at booth 3A-530O. The app relies on the advantages of beacon technology. The aim is to locate certain machines or system components and thus automatically provide the MES user with the context-related user interface on his smartphone, tablet or notebook depending on his role, the time of day and the respective system.
At booth 3A-530J, Rhebo will show how industrial control networks and critical infrastructures can be protected against failures and cyber attacks. At booth 3A-630F, Bosch Rexroth will be demonstrating how machines can be made transparent and fit for Industry 4.0 and networking with the Internet of Things and Services in just a few simple steps.
Cyber security for industry and embedded systems
In addition, companies from the cyber security sector enrich the Industry 4.0 area for the first time. Kaspersky Lab will be showing its range of security and services for industry and embedded systems on booth 3A-548. As a special highlight, the company is showing BE-Services, a security solution for industrial automation, for the first time.
The "Automation meets IT" forum within the Industry 4.0 area is intended to supplement the offer with questions about Industry 4.0 and cyber security. From the first day of the fair, topic-related panel discussions and product presentations take place here. For example, Inlay Industriesoftware GmbH presents various concepts for implementing Industry 4.0 in operational practice. The ZVEI shows how you can achieve flexible production using modular automation.
Radio technologies for intelligent networking
Hall 10.0 takes up the topic of radio technologies in manufacturing and process automation. The company M2M Germany at booth 10.0-422E shows how the entry into Industry 4.0 can succeed. Together with their stand partner Cumulocity, they demonstrate how companies can use efficient wireless technologies by means of live demonstrations in the cloud.
Tosibox will also be showing a solution for Industry 4.0 networking at booth 10.0-422B. This enables organizations to establish and manage highly scalable and secure remote connections. Such Industry 4.0 functions should make it possible to use the Internet of Things quickly and easily.
Further information on the event, opening times and how to get there can be found on the homepage of the fair. Visitors also have access to the booking portals for travel specials and can register online for a free day ticket.
