Aligning two shafts in a precision system without misalignment and without shaft misalignment can be extremely difficult. Every fitter who has been given this task knows this. A shaft misalignment, which is not compensated for by a compensating element, creates unnecessary bearing wear and consequently results in loss of quality and further defects. For the experienced designer, the installation of a metal bellows coupling as a connecting link is a necessity.
A metal bellows coupling is not a shaft joint, but its metal bellows makes it predestined to compensate for shaft misalignment and angular errors with low restoring forces and thus have a lasting positive effect on the service life of a system. It is used for servo drives, linear units, stepper motors, robot drives, handling devices and special systems.
Due to the ability of the metal bellows coupling to transmit high speeds without play and with precise angles, as well as its high torsional stiffness and low moments of inertia, it offers itself as an almost universal and economical coupling in a variety of ways.

The simple non-positive clamping system impresses with its safety and enables quick assembly with only one radially arranged clamping screw per hub. The metal bellows couplings cover a nominal torque of 0.4 to 4000 Nm and thus also offer a wide range of applications.
