Video: Schaeffler Inaugurates New Headquarters In Homburg
The Schaeffler Group has invested around 4 million euros in the construction of an engineering center for linear technology. The CEO of Schaeffler, Klaus Rosenfeld, opened the building together with the head of the Industrial Automation / Linear Technology division Ralf Moseberg. The mayor of Homburg, Rüdiger Schneidewind, emphasized the special importance of Schaeffler as one of the largest employers in the city. Among the guests were Dietmar Heinrich, CEO Europe, and the works council chairman from Schaeffler in Homburg, Salvatore Vicari.
Modern office concept should promote cooperation
After a construction period of around one year, the first employees will move in at the end of 2016. The company bundles its linear technology activities and the management of the Industrial Automation / Linear Technology business unit in the engineering center. “With the center, we want to better implement customer and market requirements. In particular, integrated customer solutions should be implemented quickly,”says Moseberg. The modern building offers around 150 employees on an area of 2400 m 2 and the right environment to promote creativity.
The future-oriented office concept is primarily intended to simplify communication between employees. Well-designed workplaces, modern meeting rooms and new media technology for team meetings contribute to this. The office is designed to consistently reduce interfaces and increase flexibility. The workplaces of the employees are arranged in a process-oriented manner. In this way, project-related teams can work together without spatial distance. The close proximity to the linear technology production in Homburg also intensifies the collaboration between development, sales and manufacturing. (kj)
