Video: New Network Analyzer Records And Evaluates The Quality Of Electricity Networks

In order to better record and evaluate the network quality, Siemens offers the Sicam Q200 network analyzer, which measures and analyzes all important network parameters. This is how weak points in power supply networks are to be identified at an early stage and faults are to be prevented. The measurement and analysis data should help in the definition and implementation of suitable measures to keep the quality of supply at a consumer-specific level. According to Siemens, downtimes can be reduced and the lifespan of equipment in the power grid increased.
Identify the source of a fault
The device can be used for the acquisition, visualization, analysis and transmission of electrical changes such as current, voltage, frequency, power or harmonics. The network analyzer records and processes the measured variables and events in accordance with IEC 61000-4-30, Ed. 3. In addition, the device identifies the source of a fault by recording and calculating the harmonic power with the associated angles. It transmits the measured variables via a PC, an energy automation or SCADA system and shows the values on a display. In addition to these monitoring functions, a combined recording and analysis of the measured values is possible directly in the device. Long-term data and events can also be transmitted to higher-level network analysis systems such as Sicam-PQS or PQ-Analyzer systems for evaluation.
Power supply
Compact and robust power supplies for worldwide use
Operate via integrated web server
The network analyzer can be operated via an integrated web server for parameterization, diagnostic purposes, evaluation and reporting. This should reduce commissioning and training costs. Standard interfaces and standard protocols such as IEC 61850 and Modbus TCP as well as various data exchange formats ensure interoperability.
Multifunction measuring devices for network automation solutions belong to the portfolio of the Siemens Energy Management division. As a product supplier, system integrator, solution and service provider, the division enables power supply companies and industry to economically, reliably and intelligently transmit and distribute electrical energy. The portfolio ranges from products and systems for the low-voltage and distribution network level to smart grid and energy automation solutions and high-voltage transmission systems. (Sh)
