Video: Experience The Future Of Manufacturing

272 exhibitors from all areas of modern product development and manufacturing show visitors from all over the world how industrial products can be manufactured quickly and cost-effectively. In terms of both the number of exhibitors and the exhibition space, formnext increased significantly in the second year and occupied the entire Hall 3.1 on two levels on around 18,500 square meters.
The highlights
At the special show "AM meets Aerospace", visitors can learn how innovations in the aerospace industry are finding their way through additive manufacturing and modern product development. Leading companies such as the civilian division of Airbus, the engine manufacturer MTU, the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the space company Airbus Safran Launchers, the Laser Zentrum Nord and the network "Aerospace Factory Additive Manufacturing" will present their know-how -how and current applications and also offer visitors from other industrial areas a real added value.
The special show “Materials” shows the latest developments in the field of materials for conventional and additive manufacturing. The special show also addresses the influence materials can have on additive series production. Both conventional and additively manufactured components from different industries and materials are compared.
The young winners of the competition of the same name present their ideas and innovations on the area of the Start-up Challenge. The five winners will be officially awarded on the first day of the fair. Under the motto "3D printing for mobile people", the Purmundus Challenge 2016 at formnext also honors future-oriented product ideas.
Visitors will also learn how additive technologies are developing towards series production. These include new and faster printing technologies, for example from XJET or HP, but also numerous smaller, innovative companies. In addition, industry leaders such as Additive Industries, Concept Laser, EOS, Renishaw or SLM Solutions will present holistic production concepts including job preparation, manufacturing, quality control, unpacking and further processing.
The Congress
At the formnext powered by tct conferenceinvite international experts to participate in the latest developments in additive manufacturing. The successful para-Olympic pioneer Denise Schindler tells in her keynote how additive technologies enable top athletic performance. The world-famous market analyst Terry Wohlers describes the current situation and paints a picture of the future. Representatives of important users such as BMW, Deutsche Bahn, Procter & Gamble or the German Aerospace Center show concrete applications, for example in the supply of spare parts, in sports, in the consumer goods sector or in aerospace.
