"The three expansion slots allow switching between three different networks and radio technologies," said Thomas Schulte, Product Manager at Welotec. Users can access and use the PC via UMTS or LTE for example using Teamviewer. "Thanks to the connection via mobile radio, machine builders can offer their customers extended services even if access via the internal customer network is not possible," says Schulte. This means that the top-hat rail PC can be used for system control and remote maintenance in automation, among other things; however, it can also be used as an IoT gateway.
Broad cellular coverage
The Arrakis-LTE-Mk2 series Embedded PC is equipped with an Intel Atom E3845 processor with a clock frequency of 1.91 GHz and can be operated with Windows versions 7 to 10 or Linux, among other things. Four CPU cores ensure optimal speed. The integrated LTE module supports a total of eight LTE bands and thus ensures wide coverage. The industrial computer has four antenna outputs, optionally fieldbus connections and digital inputs / outputs can be implemented. The system is IPCop compatible for use in network security. The fanless industrial PC is designed for space-saving top-hat rail mounting in control cabinets. Accessories include antennas, adapters from micro and nano SIM to mini SIM and on / off switches.
