Belt Conveyor For The Cost-effective Transport And Separation Of Small Parts

Conveyor belts are the first choice in plant engineering for feeding products to a processing station in a process section or for sluicing them out. So-called small conveyors are usually used, especially for small parts with low volume and weight. Maschinenbau Kitz offers the belt conveyor series GUF-P Mini for this type of application.

Flexible operation

The small conveyor belts are available in widths of 75, 100 and 150 mm and in lengths from 360 to 5000 mm and can be used in reverse, accumulation and cycle operation. Thanks to the low installation height, according to MK, the GUF-P Mini is particularly suitable for use in complex systems with limited space. Since the belt is returned within the belt body, it can be placed directly on the machine bed.

According to the manufacturer, the small conveyor belts are equipped with an inexpensive head or lower belt drive as standard, tailored to the various requirements of speed and belt load. Spherical drive or deflection rollers are intended to simplify the belt adjustment and the central running of the belt on the belt body and, due to their small diameter, prevent large gaps when the products are transferred. In addition, depending on the application, the drive rollers of the various drive versions can be rubberized in order to optimally transmit the motor torque. The large selection of belt materials and drive units according to the manufacturer should make the GUF-P Mini universally applicable.

Execution as a floor conveyor possible

If disruptive edges in machine beds, uneven floors or shoulders have to be avoided, lateral grooves enable the assembly of a stand frame along the entire belt body. The lateral attachment of the base frames also allows for a floor conveyor.

According to MK, the modular structure of this series enables quick and easy integration into the system and, if necessary, flexible expansion of the conveyor. Based on 250 different aluminum profiles and extensive connection and accessory elements, application-specific optimized systems should be possible. The profile construction should also ensure a torsion-resistant construction with good wearing properties, whereby the total load, speeds, etc. are directly related and can therefore vary. (jv)
