Accordingly, the number of visitors rose by 21% to 8656 (previous year: 7142), the number of exhibitors by 7% to 586 (previous year: 548). With an international share of now 25% among visitors and even 37% among exhibitors, Sensor + Test also impressively confirms its position as the world's leading trade fair for sensor, measuring and testing technology.
Complete satisfaction
No less than 98% of all visitors surveyed were satisfied with the information and contact options on the exhibition stands. The Sensor + Test also receives top marks from the exhibitors. Elena Schultz, responsible for marketing and communication at IMC Test & Measurement, confirms this:
“We were extremely satisfied with the Sensor + Test this year. The entire team of the organizer deserves great praise: The new hall concept with two opposing visitor entrances and the mixing of the subject areas of measurement technology and sensor technology has paid off and has once again significantly increased the attractiveness of Sensor + Test. The frequency and quality of the contacts was consistently very good over all three days of the fair.”
Main focus in mechanical and plant engineering
The visitor structure at Sensor + Test reflects a cross-section of all relevant industrial sectors, with a clear focus on mechanical and plant engineering as well as in the automotive sector. In this way, 93% of the exhibitors were able to reach their most important target groups at the fair, 88% expect this to result in post-fair business. The complete brief analysis of Sensor + Test 2016 with all key figures and the results of the visitor and exhibitor survey is available for download on the Internet.
After the trade fair is before the trade fair: Sensor + Test 2017 - with the special topic "Networked measurement technology for mobile applications" - will take place again in Nuremberg from May 30th to June 1st, 2017, then regularly accompanied by the two scientific AMA congresses SENSOR and IRS2.
Optimistic outlook
Holger Bödeker, Managing Director of the organizing AMA Service GmbH, is still optimistic about the future: “The need for reliable measurement data is continuously increasing in our digital, networked world. If you want to find out how international experts precisely determine these measurement data, process them wisely and transfer them securely to the Internet of Things or the processes of Industry 4.0, Sensor + Test offers you the optimal source of information. The great response from the exhibitors, the many inquiries from new suppliers and the attractive special topic already suggest that the trend will continue to be positive in the coming year.”
