Designed for industrial use, the Simatic ITP1000 is particularly suitable for service, manufacturing, measuring and testing technology as well as for operation and monitoring. The new industrial tablet PC supports Windows 7 and Windows 10. With a variety of interfaces and well thought-out product features, Simatic ITP1000 can be used flexibly and universally and can be integrated into new and existing system concepts. With long-term available components, as with all Simatic PCs, the new Simatic ITP1000 tablet PC can also be used for many years.
Powerful chipset and lots of memory
A powerful chipset with the latest Intel Skylake technology is used in the Simatic ITP1000 industrial tablet PC for demanding tasks. The DDR4 RAM can be expanded up to 16 GB, an additional 256 or 512 GB SSD (Solid State Drive) complements the device. With practical industrial functions such as RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), barcode reader, camera and six freely programmable function keys, individual automation tasks can be solved flexibly.
This is also supported by a variety of interfaces - for example Bluetooth, WAN, 1 Gigabit LAN, serial RS232 DC-in, Mini-DP and SD card slot as well as 1 x USB Type-C and 2 x USB 3.0. A TPM 2.0 module and a Kensington lock for theft protection are integrated to protect system and data. With the optional docking station, which is equipped with a port replicator and is designed for practical use with one-hand docking, the new tablet PC from Siemens can also be used as a fully-fledged workstation with an external monitor.
From instructional films to remote maintenance
Typical applications of the Simatic ITP1000 industrial tablet PC in service are instruction films for simple maintenance tasks, location-dependent service information and remote access to systems. In the measurement / testing technology, the new tablet PCs are used, among other things, for mechatronic simulation, for example to optimize noise development in automobiles or airplanes, or to measure energy consumption, flow and temperature. Application scenarios in production are films for training new employees, mobile assembly stations, quality management, order picking scales or driverless transport systems.
When operating and monitoring, Simatic ITP1000 is suitable for location-dependent tasks such as indoor navigation, smart access to panels or web-based visualization. Office applications, such as the Excel evaluation of production data, round off the flexible application options of the new industrial tablet PC from Siemens.
Specially designed for industrial applications
The new Simatic ITP1000 industrial tablet PC is part of the Simatic industrial PC portfolio from Siemens. This includes the scalable product lines box, panel and rack PC, supplemented by additional variants for special requirements.
The Simatic IPC family - from the compact, fanless embedded device to the powerful, expandable high-end IPC - is specially designed for industrial applications. For mobile automation engineering, the user also uses the turnkey and robust Simatic Field PG industrial programming device. (jv)
