Video: Subcontracting Fair FMB Süd Expands Exhibition Space
After the fair is before the fair: This motto currently applies in particular to the FMB - Mechanical Engineering Suppliers Fair During the 12th FMB in Bad Salzuflen, which took place in early November, the trade fair organizer received further bookings and reservations from exhibitors who want to be there in Augsburg in February 2017.
FMB-Süd transfers the concept with which FMB has been operating in the northern half of Germany for twelve years to the southern half: The fair covers the entire supply chain of mechanical engineering - from metalworking to drive, electrical and control technology and assembly - and handling technology up to industry-related services.
Another 1000 m 2 for FMB Süd
The fair offers a mix of regional and national exhibitors. Global players are represented as well as medium-sized companies. The stands are deliberately kept small, catering is done centrally, admission and parking are free. The fair wants to be a platform for the uncomplicated and direct exchange between decision-makers in industry, especially in mechanical engineering and the supply industry on the technology axis south.
At the end of November 2016, the number of registrations with more than 90 exhibitors was above the planned number. Christian Enßle, portfolio manager of the organizer Clarion Events Deutschland GmbH, says: "We have therefore provided another 1000 m 2 of exhibition space and can expand it if necessary."
Those responsible for Messe Augsburg used FMB in Bad Salzuflen to get an idea of their new trade fair offerings on site. Heike Schmid, team leader of guest events at Messe Augsburg, summarizes the results: “We are very pleased to be able to offer the companies in southern Germany, FMB-Süd, an established trade fair for mechanical and plant engineering for the first time. Messe Augsburg wins an event that serves an exciting industry and fits well with the offer of our location."
FMB-Süd will take place for the first time on February 15 and 16, 2017 at the Augsburg Exhibition Center. (kj)
