Watt Drive Appoints New Sales Manager

The drive technology provider WEG has appointed René Binder as the new sales manager of the subsidiary Watt Drive Antriebstechnik GmbH. Since the beginning of 2017, Binder has been responsible for the management of national and international sales, including field and inside sales. This also includes the worldwide export of Watt Drive products and sales through the global WEG branches.

His area of ​​responsibility also includes integrating WEG's offer into Watt Drive's sales structures. Binder leads a team of around 20 sales employees in Austria and reports to Klaus Sirrenberg, Managing Director of Watt Drive Antriebstechnik GmbH. He succeeds Markus Weber, who is now responsible for the sale of WEG standard motors in Austria.

Years of experience in sales

René Binder has 25 years of sales experience. The mechanical engineer worked for Watt Drive from 1992 to 2010, most recently as a member of the executive board as well as international marketing and sales manager. Until he was hired again, he worked as an independent management consultant and for three years as a marketing and sales manager at the metal and plastics processing specialist Sunhill Europa GmbH.
