Together with its partners Müller Maschinenbau GmbH, Faude Automatisierungstechnik GmbH, IIS UG and Lorenscheit Automatisierungs-Technik GmbH, Universal Robots GmbH shows how diverse human-robot collaboration can be in practice: “Our trade fair visitors are no longer only interested in ours 'Mere' product. They come to us specifically and with specific inquiries for applications,”explains Helmut Schmid, Managing Director and General Manager Western Europe at Universal Robots.
Trade fair visitors receive a feasibility analysis
This year, applications from labeling, pick & place and assembly, which all include accessories from the developer ecosystem Universal Robots +, offer visitors a practical insight. In addition, visitors to the stand can receive a feasibility analysis of their desired application, including live programming.
The "Universal Robots Academy" is another innovation at this year's booth. The free and freely accessible online training platform is intended to provide users with knowledge about commissioning and programming the cobots.
Still on course for growth
By founding its own company in German-speaking countries and a larger team, Universal Robots also takes into account the importance of this growing market. "Our team in Western Europe doubled last year," says Helmut Schmid. "We have significantly increased sales and technical support in order to continue to meet the increasing demand."
In March, Universal Robots GmbH also moved into its new premises in Munich with its own training center. The new branch will thus also become the starting point for the planned expansion of the range of services and product training. (jv)
