Tops-Works was developed for the user who works in the design with Solidworks and who manufactures or has his sheet metal parts manufactured on Trumpf machines. Tops-Works' task is to close the gap between construction and manufacturing in the sheet metal process chain.
Fully integrated in Solidworks and harmonized with Trumpf's Trutops system, the software provides a tool to produce sheet metal parts quickly, cost-effectively and with almost no waste. The Solidworks / Tops-Works system immediately compares the design data of a sheet metal part with all relevant manufacturing data, so that the geometry of the sheet metal model and the finished sheet metal part are synchronized.
What the new function offers
In the new version, both the position and the contour of beads / sheet metal reinforcements can now be exported to the GEO. In addition, you can store the bending table on a user-defined layer and export open splines and ellipses as an open contour.
Tops-Works 2017 now also supports Trutops 7, Trutops Boost V2 and Solidworks 2017. (mz)
