Video: Schunk Integrates Its Gripper Program Into The Eplan Data Portal

In the first step, the provider of gripping systems and clamping technology will provide the electrical and fluid plans of 16 series with a total of 843 individual components on the web-based data platform. These include the data from the PGN-plus, PZN-plus and MPG-plus gripper families as well as the most important sensors from the Schunk accessories range.
Further plans are to follow
In addition, the mechatronic 24 V gripping system kit with the EGP grippers, the EGS gripping swivel modules and the self-learning linear axes ELP as well as the intelligent EGL mechatronic grippers with CAN bus and Profibus interfaces are to be made available immediately. All other series of standard gripping component ranges as well as numerous rotary, linear and robot accessory modules will follow successively, says Schunk.
This means that all of the data on the Eplan platform is available worldwide in the current version. In this way, the data can either be integrated directly into the corresponding Eplan software solution or downloaded via the browser version of the Eplan Data Portal for use in other CAE programs. According to Schunk, the standardized macros would increase efficiency and at the same time reduce the risk of errors during configuration.
Always up to date
When updates are made to the Eplan Data Portal, cross-references in both electrical and fluid technology are intended to ensure that changes can easily be transferred to existing plans.
The Eplan Data Portal is used by over 100,000 engineers worldwide. A total of around 700,000 component data from more than 175 manufacturers are available on the platform. (jv)
