In order to make the sandpit plus sun and rain roof affordable, we decided in favor of inexpensive, waterproof glued industrial plywood with a thickness of 22 m.
And when planning, make sure that there is as little waste as possible. That means: The two attached tables were created from the remnants of the front and rear walls. The circular sections in turn serve as "access hatches". And because tots of comfort also appreciate comfort, we have provided the corners with quarter-circle-shaped plates that can be used as a seat or storage area.

Sandpit with a sun roof
The roof, an all-purpose tarpaulin made of tear-resistant, weather-resistant PE fabric film (available in green and blue) rests on four round logs. These are held in the corner stiffeners of the sandpit. If the box is to be covered when not in use, simply remove the roof rack and tension the tarpaulin using screw eyelets and plastic cables on the body. This ensures that the playground is not misused as a dog or cat litter box and that there is no waterlogging.
