At this year's Motek, ANT Antriebstechnik is presenting for the first time the further developed high-performance NG2-KGT4040 gearbox, which can reach speeds of up to 40 m / s 2can accelerate. “Thanks to its reduction ratio of 1.5: 1, our new NG2 achieves this acceleration without increasing the speed of the drive. We have also redesigned the spindle so that the high-speed screw jack now has a dynamic load rating of up to 71,500 N - instead of 44,400 N previously,”explains ANT production manager Adam Szczecina. With this new development, which has now been tried and tested in practice, the Schweinfurt-based manufacturer wants to offer automation and plant builders a technical highlight for the implementation of highly dynamic positioning and handling tasks. Because the new high-speed gearbox should not only be suitable for applications with extreme requirements in terms of dynamics, resilience and service life, but should also be a low-maintenance alternative to servo-hydraulic systems. According to the company, it is ideally suited for test benches or assembly systems where heavy workpieces have to be moved quickly and with high accuracy in highly dynamic alternating load processes. The NG high-speed screw jacks are available in three sizes, each with two spindle types: The versions with trapezoidal screw drives are designed for lifting speeds of up to 175 mm / s; There are versions with ball screws for lifting speeds of up to 1000 mm / s. Combine standard modules with creative engineering
The development of our own products - such as the NG high-speed screw jack - is integrated into the two-pronged strategic basic orientation of ANT. On the one hand, the company develops and supplies a large selection of standard components for mechanical drive technology; on the other hand, modules and aggregates are also created in Schweinfurt, which form the basis for customer-specific special solutions or complete handling systems - for example for use in plant engineering, special machine construction and in the automotive industry.
Practical examples of this can be seen at Motek. Among other things, ANT is showing new linear units in four sizes for loads of up to 2.5 t. Since these heavy-duty units can be put together, they should also enable the cost-effective construction of very long linear portal systems, which were previously only conceivable as complex welded steel structures. In this way, ANT implemented a 17-meter-long, fully automated production line for a manufacturer of heat exchangers. “The horizontal gantry unit consists entirely of these large linear modules. The smaller vertical linear axes for assembling the individual parts come from the ANT catalog program and form the five stations of the individual assembly stages - until the finished heat exchangers are unloaded at the end of the system,”explains Adam Szczecina.
