Phoenix Contact is restructuring its management team, as the current managing directors Gunther Olesch and Roland Bent will retire over the next twelve months.
Four new members in the management
As of August 1, 2020, the management will be expanded to include four members: three of them are the presidents of the three business areas: Dirk Görlitzer, Torsten Janwlecke and Ulrich Leidecker. As COO (Chief Operating Officer) you are responsible for central business areas as well as for your respective business areas.
As the fourth new member, Frank Possel-Dölken is appointed to the management board as Chief Digital Officer (CDO). Possel-Dölken is currently head of the Corporate Technology & Value Chain division. His future responsibility will also include the IT division and all topics relating to digital transformation. This should move digitization into the central focus of technology and process development in the company.
As of spring 2021, Frank Stührenberg as CEO (Chairman) and Axel Wachholz as CFO (Finance) will form the management team with the four newly appointed members

In July 2020 Gunther Olesch retires from the management. He will continue to represent Phoenix Contact in volunteer and association functions until spring 2021. Roland Bent will remain on the management board until his scheduled departure in February 2021. Afterwards, he will continue to work as Phoenix Contact's Chief Representative for international standardization and will also perform his voluntary functions in the area of national and international standardization.
