"Find the seam!", The Marburger Tapetenfabrik has asked its customers to do so. The seam, which was to be found, was “hidden” on a 4.50 meter high and 3.09 meter wide image of the Munich town hall. The highlight: nobody found what they were looking for. Because Marburg is able to print motifs for walls up to 3.09 meters high - in (theoretically) infinite width and without a single seam. "For me, the lack of a seam is the decisive argument for recommending the digital prints from the Marburg wallpaper factory to my customers," says Lars Szczesniak, who is responsible for the distribution of the individual murals at the North German wholesaler MEGA. He has already implemented numerous projects with digital printing wallpaper: At IKEA in Hamburg-Schnelsen, digital prints are an integral part of the exhibition. The Boltze Group,Germany's largest retailer for home accessories and gift items also uses products from Hesse in its showrooms. "We can freely choose the motif and size and thus showcase our products even more," says Sven Martini, trade fair technician at Boltze
The Kirchhain family-owned company has already supplied the venerable Alsterhaus on Hamburg's Jungfernstieg. "After a renovation, the historical tiles should actually be glued back there," says Szczesniak. But these were no longer available. Without further ado, a tile was scanned and prepared by the company's experts so that digital printing shows an entire wall of tiles, thanks to the latest technology, deceptively real. Now the Alsterhaus looks again as always. But Szczesniak was not only convinced by the possibility of printing endlessly without a seam. "The quality is also right," he says. The Marburger Tapetenfabrik has digital printing systems that print images with a resolution of up to 1200 dpi on the carrier material.
The customer has a wide range of substrates available: artist canvas for orders up to 3.09 meters high, but also nonwovens of various surfaces and grammages on which individual motifs up to 2.54 meters high are printed - also without a single seam. Digital printing on wallpapers from the existing range is something very special. Even those with a metallic sheen can serve as a basis. Here, the Hessrteller shows its strengths with its expert knowledge from over 170 years. The motif is then assembled from several strips of wallpaper. In this case it can even be 10.05 meters high - the limit here is the length of a wallpaper strip. The following applies to your own motif: the higher the resolution of the photo, the better the print quality. The manufacturer's digital printing experts can only provide precise information about the possibilities once the image is available.
