From Island Solutions To Multisoft Variants: Where Is The Journey Going?

Pipe geometry software The Munich-based company Precitrack 3D developed and built prototypes of a wireless freehand measuring system that never existed before. It does not require cables or a measuring cell except for automated series production monitoring. Three versions are available: for tactile measurements, infrared measurements with a fork for small tubes or wires, and for laser scanning.

The newly programmed "Freihand Multisoft" software, which covers several production areas, was integrated into Klaus Leistritz Consulting. In the evaluation version of "Tubesoft", all stand-alone solutions were combined and resulted in the multisoft package so that there was no need to import several software packages side by side or one after the other. A new philosophy that required 1,920 man-hours of programming, which corresponds to a year of intensive development work. It contains all relevant parts of CAD systems that are necessary for production. Interfaces such as Step, Iges, STL, VDA and connections to CMMs, eg Zeiss or Wenzel, are integrated so that modules can also be read. (ud)
