TE Connectivity, provider of connection technology and sensor solutions, celebrated “75 years of groundbreaking connection technology” in September 2016, in which the company has shaped the further development of electronics as well as information and communication technology through developments and influence. With the history of its inventions, TE has contributed to progress in the areas of security, energy efficiency, transportation, industrial applications and medical care. Between September 19 and September 30 of this year, employees in TE locations around the world celebrated the anniversary.

Generated more than 13,000 patents worldwide

"We are using the occasion of the 75th anniversary to honor our story," said Tom Lynch, President and CEO of TE. "This story includes contributions from all teams and companies that are now grouped under the TE Connectivity umbrella."

Employees from around the world, together with investors, manufacturers and system integrators, have issued more than 13,000 patents worldwide to develop connection technology solutions that transmit energy, data and binary signals from small installation spaces to harsh environments. Over the years, TE has been built up with engineering knowledge and well-known brand names. Brands include AMP, Raychem, Deutsch, Creganna Medical, Measurement Specialties and others.

TE describes itself as a technological pioneer. The company has helped make intelligent industrial robots, minimally invasive heart surgery, smart watches and cars a reality today, and is helping to ensure that commercial space travel, sensitive prostheses and artificial intelligence do not remain visions.
