Video: Plastic Housing For Wired Applications In Medical Technology

The two faces of the housing are designed so that they are either closed or can be equipped with cable grommets. The areas of application include security and building technology, computer peripherals and network technology, data transfer, measurement and control technology and medical technology.
Assembled quickly
The shape of the Connect housing shells differs depending on their function: one is convex, the other somewhat flattened with a recessed field for better mounting of control units. At both ends they have identical recesses for the end parts. To connect the two shells, they are simply snapped together, which saves time in assembly. The omission of screws on the one hand enhances the look, on the other hand the front of the housing can be freely selected. Cable sleeves and / or end pieces are available to complete the housing shells.
Different attachments possible
By using a front part on one side and a cable grommet on the other, the housing can, for example, be freely suspended. Two cable entries are also possible if the housing is to be used as an interface between several devices. The cable grommet set contains an integrated strain relief, ie the cables are clamped inside the grommet. In addition, a holding clip for hanging on pipes and common round profiles is available, which is attached to the housing in a concealed manner. The flattened housing shell contains four fastening domes for attaching circuit boards and built-in parts.
Available in three sizes
Robust, UV stabilized plastic ASA + PC-FR (UL 94 V-0) in the color gray-white (RAL 9002) is used to manufacture the housing. They offer degree of protection IP40 and are available in three sizes (L x W x H): 76 x 54 x 22 mm, 116 x 54 x 22 mm and 156 x 54 x 22 mm.
In order to optimally modify the Connect for a wide variety of applications, there are processing and finishing techniques such as mechanical processing (e.g. for additional openings on the long sides), printing, painting or an EMC coating. (mz)
