Microsoft's Cloud Solutions Now Comply With German Data Protection Law

All Azure infrastructure, platform and IoT services are now also available from German data centers. The locations operated by the data trustee T-Systems are Frankfurt am Main and Magdeburg.

Azure Germany offers many security functions such as multi-factor authentication, biometric scans, smart cards, data encryption according to SSL / TLS protocols, physical security measures and protection against natural disasters and power outages. A continuous data comparison takes place between the two German data centers to ensure reliability and data recovery in the event of a disaster. Data traffic is encrypted and secured using D-Trust certificates from Bundesdruckerei.
