Video: Hydraulic Multi-position Cylinder With Inductive Proximity Switches
The motion sequences in modern mechanical engineering are becoming increasingly complex and demanding. In certain cases, a simple movement of a hydraulic cylinder into the two positions "completely retracted" and "completely extended" is no longer sufficient to achieve the desired function at the corresponding positions. Intermediate positions are often required and must be approached exactly.
The full power of the hydraulic cylinder
Hydropneu offers various solutions for such cases. One of these solutions is the Hydropneu multi-position cylinder. It makes it possible to selectively control different positions and to have the full power of the hydraulic cylinder available in them. A major advantage is that no complex electronic control is required for this, since the individual strokes of this cylinder are defined by its internal structure.
The complex requirements for moving to different positions are met with such cylinders in a simple, inexpensive manner. Standard directional valves are sufficient for control and the overall package offers a high level of process reliability due to its simplicity. (jv)
