Bosch Rexroth Extends Synchronous Servo Motors With Additional Variants

The product range of the MS2N series includes equipment variants and solutions such as the flexible one-cable and two-cable connections with quick-release fasteners. These complement each other with practical options for holding brakes, motor protection types and encoders in different performance classes, consistently available in single and multiturn. The digital encoder systems with Acurolink interface enable single-cable connections with a cable length of up to 75 m and offer certified safety according to SIL2 PLd.

This modular motor system is now being expanded with additional functional options. From size MS2N07, the motors are optionally available with forced ventilation or water cooling. These cover the range from 17.5 Nm to 214 Nm of non-stop torque with increased power density and energy efficiency. The additional cooling enables new operating points with higher continuous torque and higher engine output to be achieved without having to switch to larger or longer engines. With the MS2N10, the fan is fully integrated in the motor and offers this performance advantage in the smallest possible space.

The fan motors consist of protection class IP65, an integrated temperature sensor with tested intrinsic safety and a choice of 115 V or 230 V connection voltage.
