Video: Multi-Contact Becomes Stäubli Electrical Connectors
Multi-Contact was founded in 1962 as a family business in Basel (Switzerland) and serves many industrial customers worldwide with its quality products and tailor-made solutions. The company has been part of the Stäubli Group as a division of electrical connectors for almost 15 years. The Multi-Contact brand is known for sophisticated connection solutions, a promise of quality that should remain.
With its location in Weil am Rhein, Multi-Contact is also strongly positioned on this side of the border triangle. Back in 2009, Multi-Contact Deutschland GmbH celebrated its 30th birthday with an open house. "We look forward to the future as Stäubli Electrical Connectors," says John Dallapiccola, Managing Director in Weil am Rhein, "and we will continue to advance these areas as an important location for development, production and sales."
The Stäubli Group
Stäubli is an international provider of mechatronic solutions in the fields of coupling systems, both electrical and liquid, robots and textile machines. The company was founded in Switzerland in 1882 and is still family-owned. Today the group is active in 25 countries, with over 4500 employees and a sales and service network in 50 countries.

From synergies to strength
Combine common values such as quality and innovation, customer-oriented sales and production in order to best meet market needs. They are both the driving force and the fundamental prerequisite for operating the international market even more convincingly. “The acceptance of the Stäubli brand underscores our affiliation with the group of companies. We are convinced that this step will make us even more effective on the market. Together we can advance the development of cutting-edge technology products and customer-specific solutions. Under the Stäubli brand, we offer the entire range of connectors for electrical, liquid and gaseous transmission, which is unique in the world market in this form,”says Franco Delvecchio, CEO of Stäubli Electrical Connectors and member of the Stäubli Group Executive Board.
The specialized product range of electrical connectors should be characterized by safety, precision and reliability. The electrical connectors are used in various industrial applications and should impress with their high quality and performance, for example in test and measurement technology in test laboratories. The modular connector system Combitac enables countless individual combinations of different contact types such as electrical, fluid, pneumatic or optical.

Highly efficient energy transfer thanks to multilam contact technology
With more than 1 billion photovoltaic connectors installed worldwide, Multi-Contact is the global market leader. Launched as an innovation on the market, they have been the standard in the solar industry since 1996 and pioneers in the growing area of alternative energies.
The core of all products in this electrical connector portfolio is multilam contact technology, which should enable highly efficient energy transfer and guarantee a long service life. With a range of products, which is designed for both standard and tailor-made solutions, many requirements of industrial applications can be met.
"By adopting the name and brand identity of the Stäubli Group, we secure long-term access to expanded research and development resources," explains John Dallapiccola, "and thus the strong innovative strength to continue to develop convincing, future-oriented solutions for customer needs. "(Sh)
