With a height of 6.8 mm, the N6600 series is one of the slimmest and most compact scan modules of its kind. It is ideal for integration into mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and portable scanner solutions that are used in retail, distribution centers, logistics and parcel delivery.

Designed for harsh environments

The N6600 series is specially designed for harsh environments and has a global shutter to precisely read even badly damaged or poorly printed barcodes, as well as a high movement tolerance of 5.84 m / s. Depending on the environment and application, the scan module includes either a green LED target device or a red laser target device.

The N6600 series is designed for reading 2D barcodes and is capable of capturing 60 frames per second. As companies increasingly use data for efficient operation, they are changing from 1D barcodes to 2D barcodes. The latter can store a large amount of data so that, for example, images can also be captured with a scanner.

Can be integrated into smaller devices

The N6600 scan module can also be combined with the Honeywell miniature decoder Board Mini DB. This is 60 percent smaller than the previous generation and can therefore be integrated into smaller mobile devices.

The Mini DB offers a board-to-board connection configuration as well as a choice between RS-232 and USB interfaces. Honeywell's updated decoding software optimizes the performance of the Mini DB and enables improved screen scanning. (jv)
