For potentially explosive environments, for example in the chemical industry, Tsubaki Kabelschlepp produces tailor-made Ex solutions - the all-plastic, hybrid and steel chains meet the requirements of the Atex directive with <106 Ω. In the manufacture of semiconductors, special ESD energy supply systems with carbon tubes based on nanotechnology have proven themselves, which meet the requirements of the ESD standard with regard to conductivity and resistance behavior. For endangered areas of fire protection, the company offers systems made of special UL94-listed materials with which V0 versions are also possible.

In order to increase the service life of these systems, Tsubaki Kabelschlepp uses sliding shoes on the sliding surfaces, which are made from a specially highly abrasion-resistant plastic. The plastic contains additives that not only minimize abrasion even under difficult environmental conditions, but also ensure a minimal sliding friction factor and thus low tensile forces for the movement of the chain. If the shoes are worn, they will be replaced.Without using these sliding elements, the chain straps or even the entire chain would have to be replaced. With a set of inexpensive glide shoes, a lifespan of up to 150,000 kilometers can be achieved.
