Scientifically based selection process
The Henri B. Meier Entrepreneurs School of the University of St. Gallen in collaboration with the Academy of German World Market Leaders (ADWM) is the author of the world market leader index, and Professor Christoph Müller is the head of the survey. It is based on a database with over a thousand entries from potential world market leaders in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Research and selection are carried out in a complex process. The initiators have committed to a scientifically sound and transparent selection process, the selection criteria are public. These include, among other things, the requirements for the turnover of the companies (> 50 million euros) and the foreign share of the turnover (> 50%) as well as for sales on at least three continents.
