Video: Three Visionary Ideas For The Mobility Of Tomorrow Selected
An online ideas competition of the German Mobility Award has shown how diverse and creative Germany thinks about future mobility in the city and in the country. Under the title "City, country, mobile - Do we have to live where we are mobile or can we be mobile where we live?" In autumn 2016, all citizens were able to share their visions and impulses for the mobility of tomorrow via the ideas portal Submit German Mobility Award. Dorothee Bär, Member of the German Parliament, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure and Chairman of the Jury, now honored the three most innovative ideas in the Federal Ministry of Transport in Berlin together with Ute Weiland, Managing Director of the initiative "Germany - Land of Ideas". The winners received bonuses totaling 6000 euros.
These are the three winners of the ideas competition of the German Mobility Award 2016:
From car sharing, combi buses and green miles
- 1st prize (3000 euros): AMICUS - A smart community driven supply for rural areas, Florian Hoedt, Höxter - A digital solution based on the sharing concept integrates private journeys into freight transport and thus improves the supply situation in rural regions. More information can be found here.
- 2nd prize (2000 euros): Hokus Pokus Kombibus - needs-based logistics service for sparsely populated regions, Sophie M. Lohring, Brandenburg an der Havel - networked and flexibly configurable multifunction vehicles create an intelligent logistics and service system for rural regions. - 3rd prize (1000 euros): Green miles - Social strengthening of the environmental association, David Pereira van Loock, Nuremberg - In order to make sustainable mobility more attractive, an application is suitable that defines desirable chains in terms of the environmental association and this, similar to the Air travel, rewarded with so-called "green miles". The competition jury selected the three winning ideas from a total of 70 entries. On the occasion of the announcement of the winner, Dorothee Bär said: “We have honored three award winners who have developed visionary solutions for the challenges of future mobility. They show that intelligently used technical innovations can create high social added value. Thanks to digitization, we are creating a seamless network of cities and rural regions, not only on the Internet, but especially in mobility.”
