Carsten Röttchen New Managing Director Of Production At Rittal

Carsten Röttchen is the new managing director of production at Rittal. His new responsibility will focus on realigning Rittal production worldwide. For example, Rittal is building a new plant for the production of compact housings in Haiger, which will serve as a model for all locations of the global player. Industry 4.0 structures form the basis for highly efficient production, logistics and communication processes. The 48-year-old industrial engineer Röttchen has been Head of Production at Rittal since April 2015. He comes from the automobile manufacturer Opel, where he worked in various management positions for 23 years, most recently as production and deputy plant manager at Opel Werke Bochum. His main areas of activity included vehicle start-ups, efficiency increases in manufacturing systems and the reorganization of production structures.

Röttchen studied electrical engineering at the Bochum University of Applied Sciences and part-time industrial engineering at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences. He comes from Herne in the Ruhr area, is married and has three daughters. (sh)
