Deutsche Messe Is Looking For The Engineer Powerwoman

With the “Engineer Powerwoman” career award, Deutsche Messe is honoring a woman for the fifth time who, through her commitment, her ideas or her work, is setting new trends in the technical environment of a company or has made decisive progress.

Apply free of charge by mid-March

The award will be given on April 28 as part of the "Womenpower" career congress organized by Deutsche Messe on Friday at the Hannover Messe. The award will be presented at the opening by Andrea Nahles, Federal Minister of Labor and Social Affairs. The application deadline is March 14, 2017.

Herna Munoz-Galeano is the Engineer Powerwoman 2016

The career award is endowed with 5000 euros, the application is free. The Engineer Powerwoman 2017 will be selected by an independent jury consisting of the members of the Congress Advisory Board. The call is aimed at all companies and institutions from home and abroad. Only one nomination is possible per company. The tender documents are available here.

Herna Munoz-Galeano, Managing Director of HMG System Engineering GmbH, is Engineer Powerwoman 2016. Munoz-Galeano is both a graduate engineer and a graduate computer scientist. She has more than 25 years of experience in specification, development, system integration and testing of IT systems in medical technology. Diversity in the company is everyday life for Munoz-Galeano, her team comprises 17 women and 18 men with 13 disciplines from 8 nations.
