Video: Rollers With Integrated Drive System For Conveyor Technology

The Rulmeca BL-2 series of driver rollers is designed for the construction of automated general-purpose conveyor systems with high performance requirements and increased reliability. It is intended to integrate control electronics for the first time and to be based on proven components that have been technologically optimized again. According to the company, the Rulmeca driver roller series BL-2 with integrated motor works quietly, offers high efficiency and is very durable. Areas of application are actively driven roller conveyors and, if the motor tube is spherical, conveyor belts with belts. The maximum general cargo loads are in the medium-light range of around 20 kg for belt conveyors and in the medium-heavy range of around 50 kg for roller conveyors.
Inside the roller is a brushless DC motor with 24 V, which is directly connected to the planetary gear with steel gears integrated in the driver roller. The control electronics are also integrated in the role, which should ensure easy handling in construction and operation. An external control card is not required, according to Rulmeca.
Can be controlled directly or via interfaces
The motor can either be controlled directly with simple start commands via the flexibly designed cable or connected to a higher-level system via interfaces (PLC / fieldbus / Industrial Ethernet / IoT). This is to make the BL-2 driver roller series the ideal solution for the construction of compact systems and conveyor systems with a modern design and integrated drive logic.
According to the manufacturer, the BL-2 driver roller series is also mechanically very variably configurable - with different tube designs, tube materials and transmission systems to other slave roles. In this way, designers should find a very flexible modular system for the design and control of particularly robust and durable conveyor technology with driven rollers.
Due to the low power consumption, the Rulmeca driver roller series BL-2 should also contribute to the production of energy-saving systems with high efficiency. (sh)
