The current version of Livelink for Solidworks enables simple access, synchronized with Solidworks, with which simulation apps can be started and executed. Simulation experts and calculation engineers can now use the Application Builder to create apps that other users, such as B. designers, to be able to analyze and modify a geometry created in Solidworks in the tailored environment of the app. Users can browse and run apps within the Solidworks environment. This also includes apps that use geometry that is synchronized with Solidworks.

New app: Bike Frame Analyzer
With the Livelink for Solidworks Update, the application library was supplemented by the “Bike Frame Analyzer” app. This app uses Livelink for Solidworks to update the geometry interactively while the deformation and stress distribution are calculated in the frame. With the app, different configurations of a bicycle frame can be tested very easily and numerous different parameters, such as B. dimensions, materials used as well as different loads and boundary conditions are examined.
