Video: Intorq Invests 7 Million Euros In New Building

Intorq, manufacturer of electromagnetic brakes and clutches, plans to invest 7 million euros in the expansion of the site at its Aerzen headquarters. As the company announced, a 3000 m 2 building for new production and storage technology is currently under construction. Another 800 m 2 are planned for office and training rooms. In addition, the reorganization of the production processes should secure the future of the location. The company plans to put the new areas into operation in summer 2017.
Growth requires new buildings

"Since the foundation of Intorq GmbH & Co. KG in 2005, we have almost doubled sales of brakes and clutches," says the managing director Dr. Matthias Brendler. “This growth has pushed the Aerzen site to its capacity limits. But because we want to continue to grow, the expansion investment is a logical step into the future.”
The new building should offer the necessary space to reorganize the material flows and assembly processes. As the company reports, the new concept includes automatic storage technology and modular assembly facilities in the line network. Overall, the delivery standard is to be improved with the expansion of capacity and shorter lead times for order assembly.
The office building should meet high energy standards and the heating for the entire factory should in future be CO 2 -neutral from the neighboring biogas plant. Emissions are avoided through the new central warehouse and the elimination of the supply traffic. (kj)
