Video: Optimized And Powerful For Medical Technology

With the VSO Low Pro, Parker Hannifin offers a miniature proportional valve for controlling flow rates of inert gases in medical devices. With a size of 16 mm x 14 mm, it is intended to meet the important requirements of small portable medical devices with limited installation space. Despite its size, the valve is very powerful. Typical applications are pressure and volume flow control as well as pulse dose control in devices such as mobile oxygen concentrators, fans and patient monitors. The valves have a proven performance of up to 25 million switching cycles and flow rates of up to 45 slpm with a maximum consumption of 2 W at room temperature and a nozzle size up to 2.03 mm with a weight of 12 g.

The valve is easy to assemble thanks to the low-profile design. The VSO Low Pro complies with REACH, RoHS, CE, ISO 10993 and ISO 145001. With 5 V, 12 V and 24 V, three voltage variants are available. The two-way valve is closed when de-energized and designed for handling air, oxygen or any non-reactive, non-condensing gas.
Parker also introduces the LX series, the latest generation of electro-pneumatic miniature pulse valves. The LX series is based on the X-Valve family and has a baying dimension of 8 mm. The pneumatic on / off control valves are said to be energy efficient and increase the battery life. The valves do not consume any energy in the open or closed position.

With an AA battery, the valve is said to switch up to 1.4 million operations. Parkers LX valves are available from 0.4 bar and for input voltages from 3 V - 24 V. They can be flexibly mounted on a printed circuit board or on single or multiple base plates and simply connected to systems using standard hoses. (br)
