Video: With A System For Intelligent Energy Distribution

System Pro E Power is the name of a new solution that ABB will present at the Hanover Fair. It is designed for primary switchgear up to 6300 A with a short-circuit current up to 150 kA. The modular series control cabinet system Pro E Power, integrable switchgear from ABB's low-voltage portfolio and the cloud-based Ekip Smartvision platform all work together and ensure intelligent energy distribution in infrastructure, building and industrial applications.
By expanding with cloud-based applications and additional functionalities implemented in the switching components, ABB wants to achieve maximum availability and optimized efficiency. According to the company, customers chose this - they wanted a continuous system from 160 to 6300 A.
ABB has now registered 13 patents for System Pro E Power; u. a. to the modular system of the series control cabinet solution. Due to the modularity, the baying should also be possible without having to switch off the system completely.
Rapid plant construction
The modular system includes preconfigured assembly parts and accessories that minimize the risk of errors in the configuration and construction of the control cabinet and ensure excellent quality. With the plug-in mounting system, ABB also promises time savings of up to 20% compared to the construction of conventional cabinet systems.
Modular main busbars and field distribution bars ensure flexibility and easy handling. With a single basic element, simple or complex solutions should be possible as required. A quick retrofitting or retrofitting of all outlets with almost uninterrupted operation should also be possible.

ABB has designed all system parts from the point of view of versatile use. With the modular profile frame and low installation effort, more than 120 different variants can be realized.
Installation simple, quick and safe
Since the base forms the solid foundation of a switchgear, this was also newly developed by the company and is intended to ensure high mechanical strength. The symmetrical structure, new types of corner and scaffold profiles as well as preconfigured kits and an easy-to-assemble flat copper busbar system should also make installation easy, quick and safe.
In addition to empty housings for customer-specific expansion, power distributions up to 2000 A and high-current power distributions with rear main busbars up to 6300 A, pre-assembled or in parts, are available. The protection class is available from IP30 to IP65.
From the housing to the interior to the copper, all elements work together in a complete solution. This means that all switching devices from ABB's low-voltage portfolio can be easily integrated. These include:
- Emax 2,
- Tmax T and Tmax XT,
- Slimline XR,
- Inline II as well
- System pro M compact,
- Smissline TP and
- Combiline-N modules.
In this way, ABB wants to cover the entire line protection area from the infeed to the fine feeders.
