All important die casting foundries and their suppliers are represented among the exhibitors again. The most important group of exhibitors, at around 39%, are die casting foundries. The remaining exhibitors present die casting technologies such as machines, peripheral devices, furnaces, molds, metals, alloys as well as separating and operating materials at their exhibition stands. There are also offers for post-treatment of castings, quality assurance, control and drive technology, rapid prototyping and software.
Focus on additive manufacturing
Additive manufacturing has become an integral part of production technology and has developed into a huge market. The technology can prove helpful at several points in the production process. For example, prototypes can be produced relatively easily, but the tool and mold making sector can also benefit from the technology. The topic will be taken up at Euroguss 2020 with the “Additive Manufacturing” pavilion. The special show is intended to depict the entire value chain of 3D printing and offers an ideal platform for dealing extensively with manufacturing technology. But additive manufacturing will not only be part of the special area, but also in the supporting program. For example in the Speaker´s Corner in Hall 8. In cooperation with various partners, there will be a series of lectures especially about 3D printing.
Euroguss Talent Award awards outstanding theses
The Euroguss Talent Award will be presented for the first time in 2020. This is to reward outstanding theses from the die casting area. Innovative solutions and processes, new materials and new areas of application in die casting and along the entire value chain can be the subject of the work. An international jury consisting of representatives from research and industry evaluates the submitted abstracts and selects and selects a winner. This will be announced at the fair and may present the subject of the thesis to the specialist audience.
Die casting competitions have been announced
The winners of the die-casting competitions for aluminum, zinc and magnesium will also be announced at Euroguss. The awards recognize outstanding and innovative die cast parts. The aim is to highlight the variety of applications for the materials as well as the performance and innovative strength of the participating die casting foundries.
20th die casting day at NCC Ost
The 20th die-casting day takes place in the NCC Ost parallel to the Euroguss. Here, trade visitors can find out everything that is currently moving the industry. International die casting experts come together over three days to discuss new technologies and process and material developments. The lecture language is German or English. All lectures will be translated simultaneously. The Die Casting Day is organized by the Association of German Die Castings (VDD) in the Federal Association of the German Foundry Industry (BDG).
