From machining to food production, cooling lubricants, greases, oils, alcoholic solutions and many other fluids must be applied to surfaces and workpieces. The supply of compressed air and liquids to the spray heads should ensure all-metal push-in connections from Eisele.

According to its own statements, HPM Technologie GmbH has stood for the construction of modern spray heads in minimal quantity lubrication for reliable dosing of all kinds of liquids for over 70 years. They are used in a wide variety of industries, but the focus is on metal processing, where they are used for Application of cooling lubricants can be used in machining processes. Almost all liquids can be sprayed - with the exception of paints, resins and adhesives.
Enormous reduction in the amount of lubricant
The enormous reduction in the amount of lubricant used compared to the use of conventional cooling lubrication systems and concepts is the main advantage of minimum quantity lubrication. In contrast to conventional flood lubrication or large area application, which are common in machining, only a few milliliters per hour are required for the respective process with minimum quantity lubrication.
The low liquid application also reduces environmental pollution, operating costs and system pollution. According to surveys by the Federal Statistical Office, cooling lubrication costs account for 8% to 16% of the total costs in machining and thus represent a relevant cost block that can be significantly reduced with modern minimal quantity lubrication.

Low maintenance components
In order to make the media supply to the spray heads as low-maintenance and user-friendly as possible, HPM technology uses connection components from Eisele. Gases, cooling water, vacuum and liquids - combined with electrical and electronic lines - are among the media that can be transmitted with Eisele connections. In 2006, HPM Technologie and Eisele started to develop and further develop system and process-specific special solutions. Eisele has been the main supplier of connection components at HPM since 2013.
Advantages of technology
The advantages of minimum quantity lubrication such as thread cutting or milling are clear: The consumption of cooling lubricant is significantly lower and there is little or no cleaning effort when used correctly. In addition, there is no need to process the cooling lubricant emulsion and the chips, nor to dispose of residual materials. Practice has shown that higher cutting speeds and better surface quality can be achieved.
For applications that require other spray heads, HPM can design special products. Custom-made products have already been developed for the food industry. For hygienic reasons, stainless steel push-in fittings are used there, for example for greasing baking trays. But spray heads from HPM are also used in connection with push-in connections from Eisele in the printing industry, medical technology or in the aerospace industry.
