Sick's Supervisory Board sets the course for growth and appointed Dr. Tosja Zywietz for the "Operations" department on the board of the sensor manufacturer. In the newly created department, the production-relevant functions including purchasing and quality are summarized at the board level.

Meet market developments faster with a new department

Tosja Zywietz has been in responsible positions at the Bavarian technology company Rosenberger Hochfrequenztechnik GmbH & Co. KG since 2009, most recently in the role of CEO. After completing her studies at the University of Göttingen and in the USA, Tosja Zywietz received her doctorate in theoretical physics at the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society. At Sick he will join the existing board of directors chaired by Dr. Reinforce Robert Bauer and be responsible for the company's operational business. The interlinking of purchasing, production and quality in one department is intended to achieve an even more direct customer focus in the future and to counter market developments more quickly.

Book tip

The book industrial sensors describes the development and practical application of the most important sensors. Through application-related error analysis of measuring systems, sensors and sensor systems, each supplemented by many detailed, fully calculated application examples, the book is not only suitable for students, but also for engineers and technicians from various disciplines.
