The Kinazo E1 is, according to the company, the world's first 3D printed enduro e-bike. The e-bike was printed on the Concept Laser X Line 2000R from the German Concept Laser GmbH. It is said to be one of the largest mass-produced 3D metal printers in the world

With Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), a precise, high-performance laser micro-welds powdered metals and alloys. This creates fully functional metal components; the e-bike frame was made from one piece . The prototype still had eleven individual parts that were welded together at the end. The 3D-printed aluminum frame of the Kinazo E1 now consists of only one piece, the so-called unibody or monocoque.

The special thing about the 3D-printed frame of the Kinazo E1 is, according to the manufacturer, the customization options it offers. For example, the geometry can be adapted to the driver's body, a special design according to the customer's wishes is possible, the shape, as well as the reinforcement or even microstructure of the material.

Frame construction adapts to the requirements of enduro bikes

When developing the frame construction, the developers at Kinazo focused on the requirements for enduro mountain bikes. These have to be able to manage balanced gradients and remain reliable on steep descents. For performance-oriented riders, the riding quality, in particular the bike control and stability in the field, are crucial. The focus of the frame geometry enables dynamic and aggressive driving in extreme terrain . The spring system of the e-enduro bike consists of four pivot points - brakes and the drive train have no negative impact on the rear triangle.

The bike weighs 20 kg and is optionally equipped with a 25 or up to 45 km / h central motor from Brose and the associated BMZ battery, which is integrated in the frame. The Fox 36 Factory suspension offers 160 mm of travel.

The Kinazo E1 is currently being produced in frame size M. According to the manufacturer, other sizes are planned.
