Video: Thomas Weis Leads The Bühler Motor Group

Peter Muhr, most recently Co-CEO of the Bühler Motor Group and Managing Director of Bühler Motor GmbH, has retired early on December 31, 2019 for health reasons, as the company announced. His successor Thomas Weis took over the position of Chief Financial Officer on January 1. In this function, he is responsible for the areas of controlling, finance, taxes and internal audit as well as IT and management information systems (MIS). Together with Mark Furtwängler, Weis will lead the company in the future.

Thomas Weis has been with Bühler Motor since 2002. He initially headed Controlling at Bühler Motor GmbH. In 2004 he took over responsibility for global controlling as Vice President. In addition, Thomas Weis made a decisive contribution to setting up the Compliance and Internal Audit areas. At the beginning of 2017, in addition to controlling and compliance tasks, he also took responsibility for the IT & MIS areas.

The focus of the user meeting mechatronic drive technology is on the mechanical components of gears, clutches and brakes as well as their design, dimensioning and interaction in the overall mechatronic system.
