Light + Building Postponed Due To Corona Virus

Light + Building, the trade fair for lighting and building technology, usually takes place in spring. The organizer Messe Frankfurt has now announced that the leading trade fair will be postponed to autumn 2020 - the exact date is from September 27 to October 2, 2020. The reason for this is the unexpected occurrence of the Covis-19 coronavirus in Italy at the weekend

The assessment of the situation was carried out in close coordination with the health department of the city of Frankfurt. According to this, a multi-stage health check would be required for exhibition guests from China , which Messe Frankfurt could only carry out with disproportionate effort. In addition, there are increasing travel restrictions, which make it difficult for potential visitors and exhibitors to take part in the fair.

For this reason, the organizer has decided to postpone Light + Building . This decision is also supported by the cooperation partners of Light + Building, the Association of Electrical Installation Systems, the Association of Light in the ZVEI and the Central Association of the German Electrical and Information Technology Crafts (ZVEH). The most important Italian associations also support the decision. China and Italy represent the largest exhibitor and visitor group after Germany.

The organizers also made it clear that the fair will not be canceled, but postponed. The fair is now scheduled to take place from September 27 to October 2, 2020.
