Metav 2020 Postponed Due To Corona Virus

After the recent postponement of the Light + Building trade fair, the next follows: According to the organizer, Metav 2020 will also be postponed

The trade fair for metalworking technologies should actually take place in Düsseldorf from March 10th to 13th. However, due to the rapidly spreading corona virus (Covid-19), the organizer Association of German Machine Tool Builders VDW decided to postpone the fair.

In a statement, the VDW wrote: "We did not take the decision lightly, but the Coronavirus or Covid-19 has spread extremely dynamically in the past few days. With the high number of infected people in Italy and the spread in North Rhine-Westphalia right on the doorstep of the Metav, the uncertainty among our exhibitors has increased significantly."

Many large exhibitors have recently canceled their participation in the Metav. Travelers from crisis areas are checked upon arrival, which makes the journey easy.

No new date has yet been fixed, but the VDW is working closely with Messe Düsseldorf on promptly announcing a new date.
