Panacol's new UV adhesive Vitralit 2028 is versatile and can be cured in two ways. The transparent epoxy resin is easy to dose due to its low viscosity. Nevertheless, it enables a clean edge finish without running. The adhesive is therefore ideal as a flexible coating material. It can be cured with UV light in the range from 320 nm to 390 nm. Vitralit 2028 is transparent and, once fully cured, is resistant to chemicals and suitable for autoclaving. The material is ideal as a protective coating for wires in coil windings as well as for other applications that require protective coatings.

2. Connect thin sheets securely
With the EWM system around the Titan XQ 400 AC pulse, EWM wants to revolutionize MIG welding of aluminum.
According to the manufacturer, the new AC welding process Ac-Arc Puls XQ improves the welding of even the thinnest sheets in both manual and automated applications. For this purpose, EWM has consistently trimmed all the components that are decisive for the welding process to the high requirements of aluminum welding - from the power source and the wire feeder to the PM 551 W ALU welding torch. The new positively contacted contact tip is intended to ensure high arc stability and a longer service life.
3. Robot automates soldering
Eutect GmbH presents a soldering system for fully automatic piston soldering. This enables the integration of soldering irons from a wide range of suppliers. The soldering system is available with an automatic tip changer and optionally with various kinematic systems. The overall solution is based on the new Eutect automation platform Multiple Process Changer (MPC), in which a collaborative robot system from German Robotics is used.
In the MPC KL complete system, the soldering iron is firmly attached to the arm of the robot, including the wire feeder (Sensitive Wire Feeder). Robots, control systems and soldering irons form a machine unit.
4. New low halogen UV adhesive
With Vitralit UC 1536, Panacol is launching another low-halogen adhesive for the electronics industry. Due to its low ion content, it is suitable for processing semiconductors, it is said.
The adhesive is based on epoxy resin and cures very quickly with light in the UV-A range from 320 nm to 390 nm. After curing, it has an optically clear and high-gloss surface that is very hard and therefore scratch-resistant. According to the company, it remains stable against yellowing even at high temperatures and maintains its transparency. According to the company, it is currently being successfully used to bond glass lenses to CMOS sensors.
