The International Federation of Robotics has elected a new president: Milton Guerry from Schunk USA, who has been vice president since December 2019, is now succeeding ABB's Steven Wyatt as president. Wyatt has been President since December 2019 and was Vice President of IFR for two years. Now he is leaving office because he is leaving ABB. Klaus König from Kuka Robotics was appointed as Vice President.
Guerry thanked Wyatt for his many years of service to the IFR: "With his work, he has inspired the entire industry, in particular the representatives of the national robot associations, robot manufacturers and research institutes as well as the media. We will continue his mission of understanding the ever-changing To further improve robotics and automation."
Milton Guerry leads the team from Schunk USA, based in Morrisville, North Carolina. He joined Schunk in 2000 and held various management positions. In 2007 he took over his current role as managing director.
Klaus König is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kuka Robotics division based in Augsburg. He joined Kuka AG in July 2017 as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Previously, he held various management positions in the German automotive industry.
