Wika's new monoblock type IBF with flange enables pressure measuring devices to be connected to critical processes, e.g. with natural gas or aggressive, highly viscous and crystalline media. It is available with ball valves and needle valves in a double block & bleed or block & bleed configuration. The compact design of the new instrumentation valve reduces the dimension, vibration sensitivity and leakage potential of the measuring arrangement. The 10 mm bore of the ball valves ensures a smooth media flow. The tightness of the redundant system has also been tested to BS6755 / ISO 5208 leak rate A.

2. Input module enables polling of up to four temperature sensors

Precise temperature control ensures optimal process results. SMC is consequently further developing the solutions for its EX-600 fieldbus system and, with the new analog input module EX-600-AT * -X61, ensures transparent processes: thanks to the networking of temperature sensors, an exact measurement in the range from –200 ° C to 850 ° C and an accuracy of +/- 0.1% (FS) possible, the resolution is 16 bits.

In this way, up to four of the widely used PT-100 sensors can be connected with a single module. These robust resistance thermometers deliver high precision and meet the DIN standards IEC 751 and EN 60751, the worldwide standards for platinum resistance sensors. The EX-600-AT * -X61 can compensate for a potential line resistance through the wiring with a 3- or 4-wire measurement. The direct connection should make additional signal converters or analog inputs superfluous. When connecting, users can choose between spring-cage terminals or the IP67-protected M12 connector. The module supports common protocols such as EtherNet / IP and Profinet for data transmission.

The new rotary unions operate at an operating pressure of 420 bar and offer a long service life and optimized flow behavior. The rotary screw connection can be used without problems at ambient and media temperatures from –40 ° C to 95 ° C.

Stauff supplements the plug-in coupling program for quick disconnection and connection of hydraulic lines with the revised series QRC-IB. This series can be used universally in industrial and stationary hydraulics. The zinc-nickel coating is intended to provide corrosion protection. The new series meets the requirements of ISO 7241 / Series B and is therefore aimed at the international market for standard hydraulic couplings. It is available in eight sizes from DN 6 to DN 51 for operating pressures up to 500 bar (depending on the coupling size) at nominal flow rates up to 1000 l / min. The range also includes designs in stainless steel and brass.

5. All-round service for more plant availability

The Bürkert service team comes to Gropper for each of the two plants once a year and carries out all the necessary measures during the planned plant downtime from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon, while normal production can continue on the second plant. The user does not have to worry about anything during maintenance; the team of technicians has all the tools and spare parts with them, even if the valves come from other manufacturers. In addition, it remains on site until the bottling plant has successfully started up again on Monday morning. The user also appreciates that the technicians come from the region and that he is not dealing with teams of diverse subcontractors.

In the end, such a procedure can be worthwhile, because scheduled maintenance can optimize plant performance and lower operating costs, since unplanned downtimes and downtimes are minimized.
