Video: What Could Have Been Seen In Hanover
Onrobot launches its first three-finger gripper: the electric 3FG15 has a load capacity of 15 kg and a span of 150 mm. With its three fingers, the 3FG15 can handle cylindrical parts, which was previously difficult to automate. Uncomplicated in programming and integration, the gripper has a maximum span of 150 mm and can therefore grip a wide range of workpieces of different sizes. Thanks to its 15 kg load capacity, the 3FG15 can also reliably lift and hold heavier parts. In addition, it can grip both with positive and non-positive, which further expands its possible uses.
Panel for high-end applications
B&R extends the Power Panel T-Series with the powerful operator terminal T80. A high-performance Intel Atom processor enables versatile, dynamic web visualizations. Since the panels have an elegant glass front, they are particularly suitable for high-quality machine design. The glass of the panel is equipped with integrated edge protection for rough everyday use. The low device depth enables installation in slim control cabinets or support arm systems. Even when operating with thick leather gloves, the projected capacitive multi-touch screen reacts precisely and reliably. The devices are available with display diagonals from 7 "to 15".

Small control combines safety and security
When selecting the operating mode and the management of access authorization, the configurable, safe small controller Pnoz Multi 2 now takes on further tasks of industrial security and safety (machine safety): As a system solution, Pnoz Multi 2, in conjunction with the PITreader readout unit, enables the operating mode selection and access authorization system Pit Comprehensive access control and a functionally safe mode selection. It is available from version 10.12 of the associated Pnoz Multi Configurator software tool. The system solution consisting of a small controller and operating mode selection and access authorization system thus ensures production processes on machines that are equally safe, efficient and user-friendly.
Manual change system for Industry 4.0
Gimatic has further developed its simple SQ hand changing system and made it socially acceptable for Industry 4.0 robotics. The robot-side base plate is now available in a version with a secure lock that is queried by the sensor. The changing system, which has already been tried and tested many times in its previous version, is based on simple base plates in the sizes 100 mm x 100 mm, 150 mm x 150 mm and 250 mm x 250 mm. The robot-side base plate is compatible with all existing base plates on the gripper side. An integrated wedge mechanism ensures that the plate on the gripper side is loaded over the entire surface and is thus fixed precisely.
On virtual paths against the corona crisis
In view of the latest developments relating to the corona virus, events are being canceled or postponed in a row. The future can belong to digital platforms that can compensate for this development. With the "Industrial Generation Network", the Vogel Communications Group presents a solution for professionals in the industry. As a digital supplement, the platform enables extensive networking: the focus is on digital encounters and establishing contacts, as well as product presentation and thematic exchange. Tools such as making appointments and video conferences enable professionals to network, make appointments and do research close to the respective branch. The platform thus replaces the currently severely restricted face-to-face communication, especially at trade fairs.

Switch for decentralized data management
Industrial Ethernet enables simple connection to control levels on the one hand, and good communication between decentralized field devices and the controller on the other. With its new Advanced Line managed switches, Weidmüller wants to guarantee a future-proof infrastructure with high availability, reliability and transparency. The switches are designed to increase network availability through redundancy and control mechanisms and offer many diagnostic options for demanding automation networks. They support common protocols such as STP / RSTP or SNMP and can be configured intuitively via a browser-based web interface.
Mini clamping module with high pull-in force
Schunk has developed a completely sealed miniature clamping module especially for compact applications in machining, assembly and handling, as well as in measurement technology. In order to achieve a high pull-in force despite the compact dimensions, the Schunk Verso-S NSE Mikro 49-13 is driven by an axial piston. With the drive concept consisting of rapid and clamping stroke and with the help of the integrated turbo function, pull-in forces of 1500 N are achieved. Locking takes place mechanically via a spring assembly.

Configurable safe field box
The Schmersal Group's new Safety Fieldbox with Profinet / Profisafe fieldbus interface is intended to open up new safety-related solutions especially for the packaging industry. The safe field box is a simple and inexpensive installation solution, which at the same time enables very flexible and individually configurable safety solutions for larger machines and systems as well as the transmission of diagnostic and status information. A wide range of diverse safety switching devices, such as electronic and electromechanical guard locking devices, sensors, light curtains or switches, can be connected via the universal device interfaces for 8-pin M12 connectors. According to the manufacturer, this means that numerous combinations are possibleand the Safety Fieldbox can cover typical safety concepts that are usually used on multi-part, modular packaging systems.
Ethernet communication for Ex areas
With the first Zone 2 Ethernet gateway for the Excom I / O system, Turck opens the world of the process industry for digitization and Industry 4.0. For the first time, all process data reaches the IT systems for analysis and evaluation at a sufficient speed via a parallel data channel - a simple route to efficient condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. Controls and control systems remain unaffected and protected against access. As a multi-protocol device, the new GEN-3G works with high data rates without manual intervention in Profinet, Ethernet / IP or Modbus-TCP networks. The gateway's integrated switch enables line topologies that can be easily closed to form a ring in the network. In addition to hardware redundancies for networks and gateways, Excom also supports redundancy concepts such as S2 system redundancy for high availability.
Machine safety user meeting
Machine safety is an important issue: the correct standards must be taken into account and the requirements of the Machinery Directive must be complied with. The machine safety user meeting supports developers and designers to ensure the functional safety of machines and systems.

Glove scanner with integrated monitor
Pro Glove, specialist for industrial wearables, presents the Mark Display, a glove scanner with an integrated monitor. The display of the matchbox-sized, multi-functional scanner from Pro Glove makes it easier for employees to receive information in order to complete jobs quickly and without errors. Together with the high-contrast, non-reflective display, the acoustic and haptic feedback from Mark Display guides employees through the work processes, which, according to the manufacturer, can save up to 6 s per scan and reduce the error rate by up to 33%. Mark Display is easy to connect, BLE-ready, and connects to the Pro Glove Cloud, so customers can monitor the company's entire supply chain in real time.
