Video: Historical Parquet Floors Preserved

The natural color producer works closely with the Bavarian Palace and Lake Administration. Whether Nymphenburg Palace, Oberschleissheim Palace or Landshut City Residence: the restorers of the Bavarian Palace and Lake Administration take care of the preservation of these cultural sites. Your task is to stop the ravages of time that gnaw at the historic walls and facades, stucco-decorated rooms and baroque halls. The greatest challenge here is maintaining the time-honored parquet floors. They have to withstand the flow of tourists without losing their historical flair. When treating historical floors, there are mistakes that restorers leave their hair on end: This includes cleaning with liquid agents, such as products containing tensides, oiling or sanding. Ultimately, all of these measures affect the historical structure of the soil. The list of possible misconduct in treatment is long and forms the basis of a separate application guide published by the Bavarian Palace and Lake Administration. One of the few companies that fulfills all requirements with its natural special products is the Naturhaus Naturfarben from Riedering near Rosenheim. The products of the natural color manufacturer care for historic floors and at the same time guarantee high resistance. Particularly stressed areas in the parquet are treated with natural resin. Areas that are frequently walked on and on which a lot of dirt is carried are given an oil-free primer. The contained resins ensure that the floor does not yellow. The restorers use a special wax polish as a primer wax for the surface structure, and a care wax is used for the final treatment. Naturhaus and the palace and lake administration worked closely together to develop the products for maintaining the floors of the historic castles.
